Studio Policies

General Studio Policies

A registration fee of $25 per child or family, and the first month’s tuition is required to secure a place in a class. (August is calculated at half-month rate). Tuition is due the first class meeting of each month. After the 10th of each month a $10 late fee will be charged. Statements regarding tuition will be mailed only when an account becomes delinquent. Students will be respectfully withdrawn from class if account becomes two (2) months overdue.

Returned checks will be assessed a $25 fee. Tuition remains the same each month regardless of the number of student absences or class meetings that month. No discount is given during months in which the studio is closed for holidays or inclement weather. Student absences should be made up, consult the schedule for days and times.

If a student chooses to withdraw from classes, written notice must be given prior to the first day of the following month, or student’s account will be charged for the next month. Upon withdrawl, all outstanding fees will be due immediately.

All deposits, tuition, and fees are non-refundable.

Classes begin August 18, 2010 and continue through May 14, 2011. Studio holidays: September 6 (Labor Day) November 24-27 (Fall Break) December 20-January 3 (Winter Break) March 14-19 (Spring Break) April 22-23 (Easter Weekend).

A Winter Showcase will be held in early-to-mid December. Participation fee is $25 and is due with October tuition. Written notice is required by October 1st if student will be unable to participate for any reason.

A recital will be held at the end of the dance year. All students are expected to participate. However, if a student’s account does not have a zero balance, they will not be allowed to participate. One class meeting in the spring will be devoted to the taking of recital pictures. Written notice is required by November 1st if student will be unable to participate. A $90 recital fee provides the student with a recital costume, tights, and 4 tickets to the recital. The recital fee for each additional class (Company classes are counted as two (2) classes) and for each sibling is $65 and includes costume & tights. A 50% recital deposit is due with November tuition and the balance is due with January tuition. Students enrolled in Pom-pom/Tumbling will also be required to purchase pom-poms for the recital at an additional fee of $25-$35.

Inclement Weather Policy: In the case of inclement weather, messages pertaining to closing will be posted on our website and the studio’s phone message one hour prior to the start of that day’s classes. The schedule allows for one “bad weather day” during each semester. If the studio is forced to close for more than one day as a result of inclement weather, a make-up day for missed classes will be scheduled.
